The AT&T Oaks Course At TPC San Antonio forms part of TPC San Antonio’s golf offering, along with the AT&T Canyons Course. The Oaks Course features a design by golfing legend Greg Norman, with special input by fellow golfing great Sergio Garcia.
The resulting design is a natural landscaped course that differs from traditional championship courses which tend to feature large grassy fairways and a sense of standing out from the surrounding environment. The AT&T Oaks course blends in with the local environment to produce a natural-looking course that offers challenging and enjoyable golf to skilled amateurs and pros alike.
The course is designed to challenge players of different handicaps differently, with low-scoring players being able to challenge themselves while weekend golfers enjoy a day on the course without the frustration of playing incredibly difficult holes. The course design achieves this by combining narrow and wide fairways, different types of bunkers, and a course layout that remains relatively flat throughout. This allows golfers to plot different “routes” to the green according to their skill levels, allowing leisure golfers to score reasonably well without taking too many risks around the sand and water hazards.
The course features an abundance of natural grasses, oak trees, and bunkers that are designed to look rugged and suit the terrain. The course forms part of the TPC San Antonio resort and is open to resort guests, provided that bookings are made in advance or as part of a hotel booking. Golfers who would like to try their hand at this scenic golf course can visit the resort’s website for further details.
