In the United States, the American Ryan Moore won the Las Vegas Open by a single stroke over Zimbabwe's Brendon de Jonge.

As the final round played out in Sin City, Moore's luck never failed him as he displayed great consistency to the last hole. Having started the final round tied with de Jonge and Jonas Blixt of Sweden, Moore made the crowd in his home city proud when he carded a five-under-par 66 to clinch the title.

As the tournament ended against almost perfect sunny weather, Moore lifted the trophy amid jubilant cheers from the crowd. With $4.5 million in prize money and his second PGA Tour title in the bag, the Las Vegas native is sure to remember Sunday's final round as the day when he won big.

On the European Tour, South Africa's Branden Grace lifted the trophy for the fourth time when he was victorious at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Grace carded a final round of 70 to secure a two-shot win over Denmark's Thorbjorn Olesen. The Swedes Alexander Noren and Joel Sjoholm finished tied for third place. After a brief moment of uncertainty which resulted in a dropped shot just after the turnaround, Grace regained his composure to secure a victory.

For Grace, who is still in his rookie season on the European Tour, this fourth professional title in less than one year is a taste of what the future may hold as he finishes off his first year on the European Tour

The young South African enjoyed a boost over the weekend when compatriot and reigning British Open champion Ernie Els predicted great things for his future. With just over half a million Euros in total winnings between Grace and world number one Rory McIlroy for the 2012 season, the South African has his eyes firmly fixed on winning the Race to Dubai by the season's end.
