With a final score of 268, or 20 under par, Kaymer enjoyed his first victory since winning in Abu Dhabi earlier this season.

Kaymer's impressive final round performance wowed fans as the German, who had started Sunday six strokes off the lead, carded nine birdies in the space of twelve holes to bypass Jacobsen and clinch the title. Jacobsen had led the tournament on the third day.

Determined to end the 2011 season on a high note, Kaymer's impressive form confirmed his place at the highest level of professional golf. The US and European golf tours were in recess this week and players travelled to China for the WGC-HSBC Champions. Australia will host the President's Cup next week as players face off in sunny Australian summer weather.
