Ballybunion Golf Club, Cashen Course

Ireland is the hub for the world’s best golf courses and the Old Course @ Ballybunion takes this to even greater heights by adding the most challenging and close to impossible Ballybunion Golf Club, Cashen Course to that list. Ballybunion, Cashen Course is one of the hand-picked master pieces of golf links in the whole of Ireland and arguable the best gem in the world.

It is located in a picturesque landscape over mountains, fertile valleys and rolling hills at the grid square and foot of the salmon rich River Feale and the North Atlantic Ocean. Ballybunion GC, Old Course was forged by Robert Trent Jones Senior and officially opened for play in 1982.

There are no similarities on any the eighteen remarkable holes at the Ballybunion Golf Club, Old Course, each hole has its own brilliance and task. There are no weak holes on the course.  Her dunes are high, her valleys deep, and her greens more undulating.....

Ballybunion Golf Club, Cashen Course requires crucial accuracy off the tees as fairways are guaranteed to disappear around doglegs. With the North Atlantic Ocean on one side the courses weather is maritime influenced and enjoys no temperature extremes because it lies in the north eastern Atlantic Ocean where it receives generally warm summers and mild winters.
